Marketing Position in CO: The Great Hunt

Hunting for my next great position in marketing and advertising in Colorado has helped me formulate a list of what is important in a company and from this I realized something. Companies in colorado are amazing. The culture of Colorado is so ingrained in people that when they start a business or open a branch in Colorado they want to include these values. The things I see over and over from the companies I research are admirable indeed. These are things I would want in a friend and definitely an employer.

1. Do Great Work: This one might seem obvious, but in a rush rush rush age sometimes this can get pushed aside in the name of quantity.

2. Value Family: All from the basis of understanding family really does come first so many of these companies pride themselves on lenient hours. Get your work done and help your team, but if something comes up at home, go. Bring your kids to work day? Awesomeness, I wish I would have had a chance to do that kind of thing with my parents.

3. Culture: So much of what I have seen in these interviews is culture fit. Will you get along with employees? Do you have similar values? What motivates you? These are all fantastic qualifications to look at outside your proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.

4. Embrace the Outdoors: It seems that almost every company I have looked into taught their location in and out. Hiking is close, great patio, space to walk during breaks. Fresh air does the body good, especially if you spend most of your day facing off with a computer screen.

These are such amazing attributes, that I think people overlook when trying to find their next career path. I love that I live in a place that embraces these values and culture. Who wouldn’t want to work hard for a company that has such commitment to employee health and happiness. Work Hard Play Hard. I can’t wait to find my next position!
